DOUGLAS BOOTH, HOT MODEL NOW ACTOR

EARLY START

Douglas Booth is a young British man who started modeling and acting as early as he was 12.  In an interview he said: ” I fell in love with acting from a very young age, but I didn’t do my first film until I was sixteen.” . Interesting statement for a such young artist, but sixteen doesn’t seem very old indeed!

He will turn 21 in July 2013, but he already appeared in TV films and recently in cinema movies.
Douglas was born in London, England on July 9, 1992, he is the son of Vivien an artist who has Spanish and Dutch origins, and an English father.

TV FILMS & MOVIES

After a role in ‘From Time To Time’, he really started his acting career in 2010 with the role of Boy George in a TV film ‘Worried About the Boy” for the BBC2, he was Boy George and Mathew Horne was Jon Moss his lover.
Then he played in several other roles in TV series : Eustace in The Pillars of Earth (Canada-Germany 2010), Heinz in Christopher and His Kind ( UK, 2010) , Pip in Great Expectations ( BBC, 2011).

In both “Worried About the Boy” and “Christopher and His Kind” Douglas was not afraid in playing gay characters, and  he mentioned in interviews, it did not arm at all his career as he was requested in important roles afterward.

In 2012 he was casted in LOL (Laughing Out Loud) an Hollywood remake of a famous French film. In 2013 Douglas will appear in Romeo & Juliet , as Romeo and Hailee Steinfeld as Juliet, in a film directed by Carlo Carlei (UK ). The release is expected in Otober 2013.
In march 2014, Douglas will be on the screen again as Shem, one son of Noah in ‘Noah’ a biblical epic film produced in Hollywood and directed by Darren Aronofsky. Russell Crowe is Noah.

MODELING

Even if the handsome lad from England is a rising star in the cinema industry, he is still active in the Fashion business and he appears in several campaign as Burberry or in Editorials with numerous photo shoots, like  a recent one in the US Men Fashion  magazine VMan shot by the famous Bruce Weber. This happened and still happen as this young guy is very attractive and sexy!
